Chief Andrew Mills of the Eureka Police Department has identified Dax Edward Clay Brown, age 18 as the victim of the fatal shooting Saturday, September 5 in Hammond Park near the corner of 14th and F Streets in Eureka.

Although Brown was reportedly a member of the Mac Town Boys, Eureka Police are still investigating and have not yet stated whether the shooting is gang related. Reportedly, a dispute between several males took place right before Brown was shot.

Too damn young!! Who the hell are the Mac Town Boys? Who cares? Frack these young, punk ass gangster want to be. Small fish in a small pond. Who’s the other “gang”? Frack em both! In a real city, they would get their asses handed to them. Poor kid. He didn’t even get the chance to realize how stupid the fake gang life is. Parent’s, where are your kids?…….

Nothing fake about the behavioral dynamics that led to this young man’s death — small city scene or not, it was still a gang dispute that took him down.
