Man Being Medevacked From Orleans Traffic Accident

As of 12:15 p.m., an air ambulance just landed on the river bar of the Klamath north of Orleans. At about 10:45 a.m., a vehicle accident was reported by a witness.  According to Officer Cy May of the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle had plunged off the remote Red Cap Road in northeastern Humboldt County. Because someone heard the sound of the accident and reported it immediately, emergency crews were quickly dispatched.

Once on scene, an individual with with major injuries was discovered. A Reach helicopter in the area was sent to help. The injured driver is being carefully packaged and medevacked to an out of the area hospital.
