This is a press release from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

On 08-27-2015 Deputies from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office, working with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife Officers began investigations into the cultivation of marijuana in several locations off of Registered Guest Road Laytonville Ca.  The operation was a two day event in which seven search warrants were served.

Seized pursuant to search warrants were over 800 marijuana plants ranging in size from 6 to 15 feet in height.  Also seized was a Butane Honey Oil Extraction laboratory as well as indicia of occupancy, under $5,000.00 cash, scales and packaging materials.

CDFW Wildlife Officers located several water diversions including stream bed alterations.  Further investigation revealed one of these streams contained juvenile steelhead.  CDFW Officers also noted the streams were being “de watered” as a large portion of the flows were being diverted to marijuana grow sites.  Several items such as plastic piping, steel chicken wire fencing, and other trash  which are detrimental to wildlife were also located within the riparian zones of the stream and creek beds.

Deputies arrested Jullian McCorkendale of Missouri, April Carey of Kansas, Nathaniel Levy of Oklahoma, and Kaleie Larson of Nebraska,  on charges of cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sales, and manufacturing a controlled substance.  They were transported and booked into the Mendocino County Jail on the listed charges.

Trespassers? Where does it say that? Are you being sarcastic? If not, its ironic that you make that assumption, since the raids occurred on “Registered Guest Road”!!!!

So I know plenty of greedy people who are exploiting the environment from right here in norcal. As someone who has been run through the system, I know firsthand how the police will fabricate things in order to gain a conviction. It landed me in prison over a few plants. If these allegations are true, yes, throw the book at them, and no one needs 800 plants. Still, this is America, and we should all be presumed innocent until proven guilty. And, finally with this still being America, we all enjoy the right to move freely about it. Even here.

Read the release again. 7 properties had search warrants served. I’m no mathematician, but it seems to me like they busted 7 farms that had about 100 plants each.

I read it, then read it again at your behest. It does not say this was the spy rock incursion, where 750 were. Merely that 4 people were arrested and 800 plants were eradicated, all suspects from the same geographical area. Stupid of me to assume. I wasn’t pointing fingers, sorry.

The facts in this CDFW press release are so thin as to be useless in describing what was really going on.
Some of us would like more than a bucket full of buzz words and would like detailed descriptions.

The one guy is the spitting image of American Jesus….

Maybe he was growing the weed to supply the poor and disadvantaged?

But then the Romans, I mean the local cops, came in and are cruxifying the poor guy for turning water/nutrients into wine. Or weed in this case. Life is a bitch being American Jesus.

Large portion of flow’s?
What was the flow rate. What specific portion was being taken? How was water line impairing wildlife? What did the diversions consist of?
A photo with a diagram of the diversion would help us all understand the need for this level of punitive action.

“indicIa” is legalese for some sort of document indicating that one or more of the people involved were the ones living either in the residence or somewhere on the property(s) that were raided, could be anything from a lease to an electric bill to a drivers license to a letter addressed to them. In reality anything with their name on it inside the house would be considered to be indicia. Not to be confused with “Indica” which they apparently found growing outside of the house unfortunately.

Really? Interesting… I was working at a friends a couple weeks ago and the sheriffs came and took everything. When I was looking at the police report the cop just wrote “indicia.” I foolishly saw “indica” and asked what it was all about. He explained it as paraphernalia related to sales. They took two scales and a box of turkey bags and claimed that was the “indicia.” I was arguing with him explaining it had nothing to do with sales. I’m assuming your definition is right. Not surprised, the sheriffs were real sloppy.

yes that is true also. indicia can be any item indicating that a law was broken also. so a ledger with numbers or a scale would also be indicia that the weed was for sale. Or they could just say evidence I suppose.

I wonder how did these four, from four different states, find their way to Spy Rock. It is unclear if these people were from one piece of property or if they were on different parcels.

Most of that land is owned by locals. These folks are “farm hands”. I’ll bet u hit ten farms and 8 have outta staters running watering wands and stripping and trming. Dudes and chicks from Florida and New Jersey and Mexico and Michigan. Just like those dudes found in the Natl forest from Mendo but really from Michoacan.

there are also vigilante groups around, that have phony fbi, or sheriff, uniforms on, and they are not law enforcement at all, just civilians raiding gardens, keeping the plants that are budded, and trashing the rest, it happened last year, in Laytonville, a whole street was wiped the hell out, they were in private vehicles, but because they had on those phony uniforms people were afraid to speak up, and say anything, they were mostly just not home, while they raped their gardens.
