Accident Closes Broadway
According to Brittany Powell spokesperson for the Eureka Police Department, a collision at 1:39 p.m. which occurred at West Clark and Broadway temporarily closed both lanes of traffic. Though the southbound lanes are now open, the northbound lanes are still closed as of 2 p.m.
A tweet earlier from the Department said,
Broadway and West Clark Streets in Eureka are blocked due to a possible collision and propane tank spill. Avoid the area #safetweets

Powell said, there was a propane tank that was venting on the roadway but she wasn’t sure at this point where the propane tank came from. We’ll update as soon as we can.
