The Arcata Fire District is recruiting for Volunteer Firefighters. All training and safety gear is provided. No experience is required, but applicants must be drug-free, pass a background check, and agree to a minimum of three years of volunteer service. Application deadline is Friday September 4th. Come to the free Information Night at the Arcata Community Center, 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2015. Application form and more details are at the District website, arcatafire.org.

Sure ain’t asking for much are they. In the first place trying to find somebody you can pass a drug test in this county? Good luck with that. And then a three-year sign up. What list far be gone for 3 years? Finally I should be getting a little more desperate than this!! If my land or house is burning down? Send who ever you can get!
