Lots of New Fire Maps Now Available

We recognize that the novelty of these maps may have worn away, but these maps are still useful tools for anyone who wants to know just what’s burning in their area. So, in an effort to continue to bring our readers the information they need, here are the ridiculously detailed maps that were updated around 4 a.m. this morning.
The PDF maps are still located on the thumbnails at the bottom of this post, and we’ve added the over-65,000-acre Rocky Fire, which is burning in Lake, Colusa and Yolo Counties. Additionally, we’ve added links to the text below the thumbnails. These links will direct your browser to an incident page for each of the fires.
We have yet another Google Earth download that we’ve compiled for you (Click Here).

Here are the links to our map posts from August 3 and August 4 so you can compare the fire perimeters.

I see the fork complex map that National Infrared Operations is using is still 50 yrs old
Thank you for these. Your coverage of the fires with the daily updates has been great too. I have family out of the area who have been worried, and having something to show them helps a lot.
I have more family in Siskyou County, so let’s hope that storm didn’t start anything big!

These are great maps. Yesterday I printed the Humboldt maps to post at the Alderpoint store. I hope to do the same today. Thanks for the work Oliver, and thanks to you Kym. RHBB is our #1 news source for all things local.

Thank you Kim, really helps. The proud map that showed Wool Moutain, with Neifus and Wool Mtn Peaks, helped us to see distances etc, from Alderpoint, and the fires near there on the river. We are between Dobbins Creek and Keekiwaka watersheds. Hope to see that map too, but really appreciate this innovative work. Best to all.
