We’ve always heard that people want to help and it has never seemed more true than today. Just before noon, Jim Hensley, a business owner in Myers Flat, requested donations
to help the small local volunteer departments that were combating the recent lightning fires.
Around 4:45 p.m, the above photo documenting the massive numbers of items donated was posted on Facebook. Hensley wrote on his status, “This is what has shown up in the past hour and a half. [We’re] reloading into a fire crew truck going to Alderpoint. Humboldt ppl rock.”
