Fully Involved RV Fire on 299

Scanner traffic indicates fire crews are responding to an RV that is on fire at mile marker 19.5 on Highway 299, which is near Acorn Lane. The occupants have already made it out of the vehicle, and the incident has been named the Acorn Incident. We’ll update this post when we find out more information.

Update 11:27 p.m.: According to the scanner, the vehicle is blocking the westbound lane, and no injuries have been reported.

Update 11:43 p.m.: The fire is not threatening vegetation, but the RV has “Fully Burned.”

I saw this on the way to work this morning. Nothing is left except a twisted, melted metal frame sitting in the middle of the turnout 5 miles west of Willow Creek.

I wonder how long it will sit there before it gets hauled away.
I also wonder, what caused the fire ?????
