Fire Near Martin’s Ferry Bridge
Scanner traffic indicates fire crews are responding to a vegetation fire near Martin’s Ferry Bridge in the Weitchpec area. As of about 11:55 p.m., the fire is still burning .
We don’t know much about this specific incident, but we do know the area has been plagued with fires recently — some of which have been arson, according to Cal Fire.
As usual, we’ll update this post when we find out more information.

I’ve been trying to keep track, but it’s tricky when there are as many as nine fires in a single incident.

Per this AM 209: Multiple fires 5 – 30+ acres for a est. total of 200 acres @ 0% containment, fire burning in logging slash/dead down timber, long travel times, crit resource needs: type 1 crews, dozers, type 3 engines, Div’s and aircraft.
