Get That Car Seat Checked Out!

The Humboldt County Child Passenger Safety Program in partnership with the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the City of Rio Dell, and your local AAA Eureka office will conduct a child car seat checkup event Tuesday, July 28 in Rio Dell.

During this event, certified child car seat technicians will assist the public by demonstrating and teaching the proper way to install an infant or child car seat.  Technicians will perform safety inspections for all children in the vehicle who are required to be in a car seat or a seat belt.

WHO:            Parents, grandparents, caregivers

WHAT:          Child car seat checkup event – FREE!

WHEN:          Tuesday, July 28, 2015, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

WHERE:        Rio Dell City Hall, 675 Wildwood Ave., Rio Dell

Parents and caregivers are encouraged to bring their vehicle and owner’s manual, car seat & instruction booklet, and their child.  Plan to spend a minimum of 30 minutes at the event, possibly more if there are several children.
