Gas Leak in Eureka Area

Wondering where all of those fire trucks are heading in Myrtletown? Scanner traffic indicates fire crews are responding to a “natural gas” leak on the 2600 block of Ridgeway Lane in the Eureka area. A dispatcher said over the scanner that the gas leak was caused by digging. We’ll update this post when we find out more information.

UPDATE 4:02 p.m.: One engine was able to handle the situation and the rest of the engines have been canceled.
