Jaws of Life Used to Extricate Driver Trapped in Vehicle

Emergency personnel responded to a two-vehicle accident at F Street and 14th Street in Eureka at around 4:45 p.m today. A GMC truck and a Chevrolet sedan were involved in the accident, and the driver of the sedan was trapped in the vehicle. Firefighters responded to the scene and used Jaws of Life to extricate the driver of the vehicle. The woman appeared to be conscious, but was wheeled away on a stretcher into an ambulance. UPDATE 5:55 p.m.: Additional Photos. The front of the truck appeared to have impacted the driver’s side of the sedan.
