UPDATE 12:14 P.M.: Humboldt Bay Fire responded to a structure fire in Fields Landing at 10:49 a.m. today.

“When I got here there was fire and smoke showing,” Humboldt Bay Fire Battalion Chief Kent Hulbert said.

Hulbert said they are investigating the cause the fire, but scanner traffic indicated the fire was caused by an explosion.

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office was arresting suspects at the scene, however HCSO’s Matt Tomlin said they would not reveal why they were arrested without a supervisor at the scene.

Hulbert said the occupants made it out of the structure safely.

The picture is an arrest by HCSO. Is this with the wrong article?

According to the press release, the fire was caused by a hash lab explosion and two suspects were arrested at the scene. Here’s a link to the press release: https://kymkemp.com/2015/06/30/two-suspects-arrested-in-hash-lab-explosion-hcso-says/
