Burn Permits Suspended Today

Because of dry conditions caused by the drought, Cal Fire has suspended permits for outdoor residential burning in Del Norte, Humboldt, Trinity and Mendocino Counties starting today.

Yesterday’s fires which destroyed homes in Covelo were started by mowing. Please be careful about using machines in dry vegetation also.

That time of year again.

Hey did anyone hear yet that many residents in HOOPA have NO WATER? It’s a FACT. The holding tank is empty thanks to some fires they used the water to put out.
