Gunnel in Gullet: River Otter Catches and Eats Flip Flopping Fish

Coming to the end of a long work week and missed out on a chance to experience the  great outdoors this week? Well, here’s a little glimpse of a local river otter capturing and devouring its prey to hold you over til you can get out tomorrow.

We’re so lucky to be living in the Emerald Triangle where intimate experience with nature is close to our homes.

I’ve never seen one that klutzy in dispatching its catch, though that was a pretty good sized fish.

The otter, the fisher, beaver, they’ll eat all that’s in the water, they talking bout salmon and such these little junkies clean out the entire pond!
