League of Women Voters Humboldt CountyPress release provided by the League of Women Voters in Humboldt County:

Did you ever wonder who are the people counting the votes during election? Ever thought to yourself: what does the District Attorney do anyway? Well you are in luck. At 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23rd, the League of Women Voters of Humboldt County will host a Meet Your Newly Elected Officials event at the Humboldt County Public Library, on 1313 3rd St. in Eureka. The event will feature recently elected District Attorney, Maggie Fleming, and County Clerk-Recorder and Registrar of Voters, Kelly Sanders. Each of the guests will have a one-on-one interview with long time local journalist Ryan Burns.
The newly elected officials will share what they do, how the public benefits from their offered services, and how the public can interact with them. The League invites the public to join the event at 5pm for a light reception and encourages community members to submit questions beforehand to [email protected]. The event will be recorded and will become available for online viewing on the League’s website and social media.
