[UPDATE June 11 6:11 P.M.] Fire Near Orick 100% Contained
Scanner traffic yesterday indicated fire crews were responding to a vegetation fire on Bald Hills Road near Orick. Additional units were requested to help with the fire, and voices over the scanner said the fire was difficult to control. Cal Fire’s twitter posts show that the fire grew from roughly two acres to 30 acres in about 10 hours. We will continue to update this post as more information becomes available.
