Coroner Investigating Possible Double Suicide
The following is press release from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office:
On 06-03-2015 around 11:33 AM Mendocino County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a remote property in the area northeast of Potter Valley, near the Lake County line, on Dashiell Ranch Road. The reporting party called to report that two male subjects on the property had committed suicide.
Deputies arrived on scene and located two deceased adult males. Witnesses indicated the two men had committed suicide. Deputies initiated an investigation and spoke to several persons at the scene.
An autopsy has been scheduled in both cases and the cause and manner of death is currently under investigation.
The names of the decedents are not being released at this time as the next of kin has not been notified.
The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office said the men were 21 years old and 50 years old.

OMG – this is “off the hook” sad……
And this is the kind of thing that has saved me when I’ve felt suicidally depressed….will it tempt other, younger or more impressionable people? Will my death make it easier for others to do the same, or otherwise affect lives, even of people that don’t know me personally? (I think of Robin Williams – I really respect him, but was deeply hurt when he exited – and I don’t know him at all!)
These two – well, one can’t help suspecting some kind of relationship – but I can’t imagine allowing a young person to commit suicide no matter how depressed I am….I’d call someone, tie him down – make him time out at a crisis clinic….so so sad……deeply sorry for the families – hang in there people…..we all effect each other – all we can do is try to do so in a positive manner.
Sometimes the mother leaves….the young adult or father don’t know how to handle it. Tradegy changes many people most usually for the worst. Hopefully the mother came back to pick up all the pieces.
