Meth, Marijuana, and Firearms Taken During Search of Eureka Residence

This is a press release from the Eureka Police Department. The information has not been proven in a court of law and the individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

On 05/27/15 at about 8:32 a.m., Detectives with the Eureka Police Department’s Problem Oriented Policing Unit (POP) served a search warrant at a residence on the 3800 block of Union Street. The warrant was obtained after information was received regarding illicit drug activity.

During a search of the residence, detectives located and seized 8 firearms, nearly 8.5 ounces of Methamphetamine, over 36 pounds of Marijuana, and over one ounce of Marijuana hash.

Jay Aubrey Lewis, 42 of Eureka, was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, possession of Methamphetamine for sale, and possession of Marijuana for sale. He was transported and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility.

Anyone with information regarding suspected drug sales in the city limits of Eureka is asked to call the POP office at (707) 441-4373.search warrant 052715
