Man With Machete Steals Pizza Driver’s Car, Money, Cell Phone… No Word on What Happened to the Pizza
A pizza driver delivering pizza was robbed in the 1500 block of Peninsula Ave in Manilla around 11:45 last night. According to Lt. Wayne Hanson of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, a “male suspect with a machete threatened the driver.” The suspect and possibly another person then stole the driver’s white Ford Ranger pickup and took his cell phone, ID and undisclosed amount of cash. The pizza driver was not injured.
The suspect/s then crashed the truck into a wire fence on SR 255 near Jackson Ranch Road. The California Highway Patrol quickly reached the scene of the crash but the suspect had fled. Hanson said that various items in the pickup were being taken for fingerprinting.

Maybe he did not like the toppings or where the pizza was from?
It’s not smart to drive while trying to eat a recently stolen pizza.
It’s not smart to deliver pizzas in a ford ranger. How much can u really make when ur using all that gasoline to get from house to house? Shit then this crap happens. U will never get a leg up like this.
All of these comments are thoughtless and stupid. Think about it – this guy was very likely traumatized by the assault. I know how it feels. It sucks because you feel out of control and helpless. I hope they catch the punks who did this and make them pay for their crime.
To the guy who got robbed, this is a perfect example of who you should get a gun, learn to use it safely and a get concealed carry permit. You have the right to self defense and this is one good example why.
