Vultures Doing the Wild Thing (Ever Seen That Before?)

So….a game camera gets set up to watch a hollow tree. Cougars, bears, opossum all visit the spot. “Many, many animals examine the hole in the tree,” says Kim Cabrera, a wildlife tracker who runs a blog called Animal Tracks Den and who positioned the camera. But then this March, a pair of vultures make it their love nest.

The game camera catches a little sex (okay, a lot of sex)  and some nest building (which does not involve much at all.) This video takes you through a month at the mouth of a vulture nest.

Like this? Then keep an eye out for part two where we may see the fluffy vulture chicks.
