[UPDATE 10:35 P.M.] Vegetation Fire behind Arcata High School

According to scanner traffic, there is a vegetation fire behind the Arcata High School that has climbed into the trees. The incident commander reports a 30 foot spot is burning on the embankment behind the gymnasium in the trees and heavy brush. He reports flame lengths of up to four feet in height. There is a wind but currently the fire is only moving slowly.

UPDATE 10:35 p.m.: According to reports from the scanner, the fire is contained and the firefighters are clearing up hot spots.
