Art Show!
Press release provided by North Coast Open Studios:
The 17th annual North Coast Open Studios is coming up during the first two weekends of June, and May Arts Alive! is the time to preview work from nearly 100 of the participating artists.
The NCOS Artist Show and Reception will take place at the Ink People Center for the Arts’ Brenda Tuxford Gallery, 325 2nd Street, Suite 203, on the second floor of the Healy Brothers Building in Old Town Eureka.
“The Artist Show and Reception is an ideal opportunity to pick up your Open Studios guidebook and start thinking about which artists you’re going to visit during the event,” says NCOS Coordinator Monica Topping.
In addition to the two dimensional art in media ranging from leatherwork to oil paints to collage, there will also be chocolate demos from Dick Taylor Craft Chocolates, plus music and video provided by the MARZ Project — both first-time participants in North Coast Open Studios.
The Artist Show and Reception is also the first opportunity to see this year’s benefit drawing items — an oil painting by Teresa Saluzzo, handwoven silk scarf by Carolyn Jones, and a ceramic four-piece whiskey set by Lisa Enge — in person, and purchase tickets to win them.
The event will happen during May Arts Alive!, from 6pm to 9pm, on Saturday, May 2. Visit www.northcoastopenstudios.com for more information.
North Coast Open Studios is a DreamMaker Project of the Ink People Center for the Arts.

Thanks, Kym!
