Tricky Bidness and Mary Jane at Cannabis Film Festival This Weekend
The Cannabis Film Festival presents a fun filled weekend on May 1st, 2nd and 3rd in Garberville, California; the heart of the Emerald Triangle. CFF will be presenting a representation of films intended to raise consciousness regarding the many uses, applications and issues surrounding the expanding cannabis industry.
The festivities will begin at 4 pm on Friday, May 1st in the Garberville Town Square where attendees may shop a diverse variety of local vendors, grab a bite to eat and a beverage to take in the ambiance behind the “Redwood Curtain”. Be sure to make your way over to the Redwood Playhouse to enjoy excerpts of Mary Jane the Musical starting at 7 pm. For the following day, Saturday May 2nd, the festival will begin at 11 am showing the film submissions at the historic Garberville Theatre. With productions from Finland to England, Hawaii and all the way back to Humboldt County, CFF’s selection of films cover a variety of cannabis related topics from a broad spectrum of perspectives. Additionally, Saturday and Sunday will start at 10 am with local vendors and artisans back at the town square to showcase the art, wares and food of Humboldt County. For the duration of the day you may purchase VIP tickets to indulge yourself in the luxuries of what the Emerald Triangle has to offer.
Two of the productions that RB is most excited about are Tricky Bidness and Mary Jane the Musical.
Tricky Bidness will be playing at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. This film has lots of local folks and local relevance.
Excerpts from Mary Jane the Musical, which originated as a fantastic play about local marijuana growers created by Dell ‘Artes will be shown at the Redwood Playhouse in Garberville at 7 p.m. on Friday.
