[UPDATE 5:45 P.M.] Medical Crews at Site of Stabbing in Eureka


Scanner traffic reports that a stabbing occurred at West Del Norte Street near Albee Street in Eureka.

A stabbing occurred around 3:50 p.m. today. According to scanner traffic, medical crews were requested to respond to West Del Norte Street near Albee Street in Eureka for a stabbing victim. They were requested to stage until law enforcement cleared the scene.

When crews got on site, they discovered a victim with a wound to the upper chest. According to scanner traffic, the suspect fled.

UPDATE 5:45 p.m.: Eureka Police officers continue to investigate the scene of today’s stabbing. Oliver Cory, our reporter, spoke to one on scene.

“Basically two females had an argument,” Abraham Jansen of the Eureka Police Department said.

Jansen said the victim had a “laceration” in her chest. He also said the victim was conscious when he got there.
