Easter Rains (Even Snow in High Elevations)
Starting Saturday evening, much needed precipitation will fall over northwest California. The wet weather, one to three inches, is supposed to last until Tuesday. Snow is expected in the higher elevations. The US National Weather Service in Eureka, which provided the above graphic says, ” Snow levels will fall through the day Sunday from near 5000 feet to nearly 2500 feet Sunday night. Snow levels will then rise some Monday into Tuesday.”
Fill up the woodbox, make sure tender plants are in the greenhouse or covered and bring pets into warmer areas.

Believe it when we see it. It has been beautiful.
My cat’s mad at me because it’s raining,
he thinks I took away his morning sunshine. haha
River forecast says S.Fork Eel at Miranda will be up 5 ft. by Tuesday. Fingers crossed.
Let’s hope!
There’s snow on King Peak but the clouds won’t let me see the whole mountain. From the forecast for Monday and Monday night there could be a lot more.
That’s awesome! Uti, thank you for providing that information. I’m hearing on the scanner about snow and hail on 299. It’s nice to see something concrete though about snow here in Humboldt.
