One Suspect in Hoopa Shooting Arrested, Photos

Original post: According Lt. George Cavinta of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, Rodney Vincent Ortiz age 52 of Hoopa was located by the Eureka Police Department about 6:45 p.m. on Broadway. He was taken into custody and law enforcement will be interrogating him about what occurred yesterday.

Rodney Ortiz on the left was captured this evening. Vincent Ortiz on the right is still being sought.

Yesterday, about 1:45 p.m. some sort of altercation occurred on Pine Creek Road near the rodeo grounds in Hoopa. Three victims were injured and taken to hospitals. Rodney Ortiz and his son, Vincent, are suspects in the incident.

If they are found guilty, will they get in any trouble, or just let go? Also, isn’t Hoopa a sovereign nation? How come they won’t be put on trial there? Does Hoopa have it’s own courts, I’m pretty sure they have tribal police.
