Dog Bites Man, Partial Finger Amputation

Scanner traffic indicates a dog bit a man on Anderson Road in McKinleyville a little after 9 p.m. The dispatcher relayed that the man suffered “a partial amputation of a finger.” A sheriff’s officer was sent to the scene, the dog was secured and medical aid was dispatched to assist the victim.

We have requested more information from the Sheriff’s Department.
