Frosty Tonight with a Chance of Nipped Seedlings

Image from the US National Weather Service. (If you haven’t already liked them on Facebook, you should now.)

Temperatures are expected to drop quickly tonight. The National Weather Service says,”With the locally defined Growing Season starting March 1st for coastal Del Norte and Humboldt counties, and Mendocino County, Frost Advisories have been issued for these locations.”

Some of the interior valleys could drop into the 20’s!! So throw another piece of wood on the fire, make sure your greenhouses are closed tight, the frost cloth is on sensitive plants, and your animals have some place cozy to be.

March is usually a fairly cold and windy month. Snow, wind, rain, sleet. But, pretty nice weather so far. Thanks Kym.
I’ve been reading, but I’m not that witty of late.
