Dog Lovers in SoHum and NoMendo, Please Help

UPDATE 7:04 p.m.: Sally has been found and, sadly, she did not survive.

Yesterday, this man and his dog got into a terrible accident between Leggett and Laytonville. (See photo below.) The man was flown to Ukiah Memorial Hospital and then transferred to Santa Rosa but the dog disappeared. Family are now searching the area for Sally who has short black hair and a white star on her chest.

The man is in critical condition following the wreck and subsequent fire. Family members want to find the dog both for her sake and for the man’s sake. Jess Griggs, a member of the family worries, “When he awakes, he is going to wonder where a man’s best friend has went, aka his dog Sally…[T]his is really important to us. [H]is dog is his whole world and, if there is a chance we can find her, we need people to keep an eye out.”
