CAMP Raids SoHum Trespass Grow Featuring 1366 Plants, Rodenticide, Water Diversion

Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office press release:

On 08-27-2014, at approximately 10:00 a.m. Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office deputies, assisted by members of the Campaign Against Marijuana Planting, drove to Barnum Timber Company property between Sprowl Creek and Whitethorn, Southern Humboldt County. When deputies arrived they located a large marijuana garden containing 1366 growing marijuana plants ranging in size from 4’ to 5’ tall, along with a campsite. There were no suspects on scene. The deputies saw environmental damage to the property including trees being removed to make clearings for the marijuana, rodenticides and water being drafted from a nearby creek to water the marijuana plants.

There are no suspects at this time, the investigation is ongoing.
