TCSO: K9 Alerts Deputy to Marijuana in Utah Man’s Vehicle

Trinity County Sheriff Press Release:

On February 8, 2014 at approximately 1331 hours a Deputy with the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 299 near Slattery Pond near Junction City, CA. The Deputy initiating the traffic stop was a Trinity County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit. The K9 was used during the stop and alerted to the presence of controlled substance in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in locating $794.00 in US Currency and 71 pounds of processed marijuana. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and booked into the Trinity County Jail on the above charges. Engelbert bailed out of the Trinity County Jail Facility on February 11, 2014 on $75,000.00 bail.

11359 HS – Possess Marijuana/Hashish for sale

11360 HS – Give/Transport/Etc Marijuana over 28.5 grams
