From the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:

On 06-24-2013, approximately 8:15 a.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted by the Humboldt County Drug Task Force served a Humboldt County Superior Court Search Warrant at 575 Connick Creek Road, Garberville. When deputies arrived they located David Allen Waterman, 40 years old and Jason Duane Laursen, 39 years old at the residence. The entire residence was being used to process and dry marijuana.

A search of the residence revealed 51 pounds of processed marijuana bud. Outside the residence deputies located 221 marijuana plants being grown and 941 marijuana plants being grown in four greenhouses. The plants ranged in size from 6” to 5’. The deputies also located packaging material, scales and other evidence indicating the marijuana was being grown for sale. Deputies issued Waterman and Laursen notices to appear in court for cultivation and possession for sale of marijuana. Deputies also located information revealing a third suspect and are seeking an arrest warrant for that male suspect through the Humboldt County District Attorneys Office.
