Humboldt County Man Nabbed Driving in Willits with Hash and Honey Oil
Mendocino Sheriff’s Office Press Release:
On 7-14-13 at approximately 4:00 PM, a Deputy Sheriff from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office observed a vehicle traveling south on Hwy 101 near Willits with a non-operation tail lamp. The deputy initiated a traffic stop at 24800 N. Hwy 101 and contacted the driver, Dana B. Hambelton, age 30 of Eureka, CA.
As the deputy spoke to Hambelton at the driver’s window, he detected the odor of cannabis emanating from inside the car. A search of the vehicle revealed four mason jars containing a “honey oil” type of concentrated cannabis. There was also a plastic bag nearby which contained 92 grams of another type of concentrated cannabis known as “bubble hash”. Hambelton was arrested and lodged in the Mendocino County Jail for possession of concentrated cannabis and transportation of marijuana, with bail set at $15,000.00.
