Two Inmates Escape Eel River Conservation Camp Outside of Redway

California Correctional Center Press Release:

Two Minimum security inmates walked away from Eel River Conservation Camp which is located just outside Redway, CA on July 13, 2013.

The first escapee, 20 year old Dennis Rene Welch, is described as a Black male, 179 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair and dark complexion. He stands approximately 6’ 1” tall. He was last seen wearing Orange Blaze colored jeans, and a shirt with the initials C.D.C.R. prisoner written on them. He was committed to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation on October 23, 2012, from Santa Cruz County for Burglary 1st. He was scheduled to be paroled in January 2014.just outside Redway, CA on July 13, 2013.

The second escapee, 30 year old Glen Martin Whiteside, is described as a Black male, 140 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair and medium complexion. He stands approximately 5’7” tall. He was last seen wearing Orange Blaze colored jeans, and shirt with initials C.D.C.R. prisoner written on them. He was committed to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation on November 22, 2011, from Sacramento County for Robbery 2nd. He was scheduled to be paroled in December 2014.

They were last seen at approximately 12:20 a.m.

Escape apprehension efforts are continuing. Anyone seeing them should contact 9-1-1 or law enforcement authorities immediately.
