Report of Gunshot Victim in the Fruitland Ridge Area

UPDATE 7:15 P.M.: Humboldt Co. Sheriff Press Release:

 On 05/10/2013 at about 1420 hours, the HCSO received a call of a gunshot victim at Myers Flat. When deputies arrived, they located a 38 year old male victim who had been shot. Medical personnel transported the victim to a helicopter, where the victim was flown out of the area for medical treatment. Deputies are currently processing the crime scene from evidence and this case is on-going.

Law enforcement, fire and medical are responding to a report of a gunshot wound victim in the Fruitland Ridge area. Fruitland is east of the Avenue of the Giants between Myers Flat and Miranda. Air support has been requested.
