Man Swipes Cash from McKinleyville Gas Station

 Humboldt Co. Sheriff’s Press Release:

On 2-27-13 at about 0300 hours, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported burglary at the 76 Gas Station in the 2600 block of Central Avenue, McKinleyville. Sheriff’s units arrived within minutes and learned from the clerk that an unknown suspect had entered the gas station through a backdoor and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the register before fleeing out the front door. At the time of the burglary the clerk was outside in front of the business and saw the suspect flee. The suspect was last seen running westbound on Reasor Road from Central Avenue.

 

Deputies checked the area and did not locate the suspect. The business was open at the time of the theft.

 

The suspect is described as a male (unknown age or race) approx 5’4, 150 lbs, wearing a black hoodie and a ski mask with blue jeans and black shoes with white trim.
