Technicians working on a system at the Community Credit Union of Southern Humboldt on Main Street in Garberville triggered an alarm earlier today.  The alarm company rolled law enforcement as a precaution even though they had called the business and the proper codes were relayed to them.

As a result rumors are rampant in the small town, said Shon Wellborn, the president. She said that she had even heard that they had been robbed by someone with a machine gun.  Not so, she assured LoCO and explained that it all turned into a nice little training exercise for Sgt. Martin Abshire and two other officers of the CHP.  Thankfully there was no actual issue.
