Reports of Law Enforcement Caravan Headed Up Alderpoint

UPDATE, 9:35 a.m.: Lt. Steve Knight of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office tells us that the law enforcement was up that way to get Ryan Floyd, the suspect in last weekend’s backwoods high-speed chase. Floyd is now in custody, he said. 

Knight said that more information should be forthcoming shortly. — HS

LoCO has received multiple reports of a law enforcement caravan headed up Alderpoint Road.  We are hearing that there are Sheriffs’ cars, trucks and trailers–some possibly unmarked.

We have a call into the Sheriff’s Dept. and will be following up as details emerge.
