Mendocino Sheriff’s Press Release:
On 7-10-2012 at approximately 0455 the Mendocino County Sheriffs Communication Center received a 911 telephone call from a caller who advised his neighbors were being robbed at gunpoint at a Guidiville Road residence.
Mendocino County Sheriffs Deputies with the assistance from Ukiah Police Officers responded to a residence on Guidiville Road. On arrival they contacted the reporting parties (who were residing at the residence). The reporting parties advised the deputies that they were all awoken by at least two suspects, one being armed with a shotgun, who were attempting to steal marijuana from the location.
One of the residents fled the location and went to a neighbors residence where the 911 call was made from.
The residents advised that no one was injured and nothing was removed from the residence. They advised the two attempted robbery suspects were white male adults and had fled in a light colored vehicle.
Deputies summoned assistance from the detectives unit, as it appeared a commercial marijuana operation was taking place at the residence and a search warrant would be needed.
Detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence and property.
Deputies seized 476 growing marijuana plants, averaging 3’ in height. Approximately 4 pounds of processed marijuana and 1 pound of concentrated cannabis was seized from inside the residence.
All three of the resident suspects were arrested and booked into the Mendocino County Jail on the listed charges. Their bail is set at $20,000.
Detectives are still conducting further investigation into the alleged reported robbery.
Anyone with information regarding the attempted robbery is encouraged to contact the Mendocino County Sheriffs Office at 707-463-4086. Callers can remain anonymous.
