Federal Raid in Fortuna

UPDATE, Oct. 12, 10:57 a.m.: David Yogi, a press officer with the San Francisco office of the Environmental Protection Agency, gives the LoCO a very brief statement: “The EPA is executing three search warrants in the city with the FBI.” Yogi said he couldn’t release any further information at this time. — Hank

DEA and the EPA raided a Fortuna business, Eel River Hydroponics, today.  Details are sketchy at this point though there are reports of officers wearing bulletproof vests.  There are also reports that a bottling plant on 7th street that was previously associated with Eel River Hydroponics was raided, too.
