New Superintendent for SHUSD

Southern Humboldt Unified School District Board has “offered the position of Superintendent to Catherine Scott.” She accepted and now she and the Board are negotiating a contract.  According to Dennis O’Sullivan, Board President, “We also offered a contract extension to Julie Johansen, as Associate Superintendent of Curriculum and Principal of Redway Elementary. Julie and her family are considering and will notify the District next week.”

Jim Stewart who has been both Superintendent and Principal at South Fork High School resigned effective the end of the school year.
