National Weather Service Issues Warning of Intensifying Storm
At 3:30 P.M., The National Weather Service issued a new warning, a “significant weather advisory” for Trinity, Mendocino and Humboldt. The bulletin stated the advisory was in effect until 4:30,
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM CARLOTTA TO 8 MILES SOUTHWEST OF SHELTER COVE TO 63 MILES SOUTHWEST OF POINT ARENA…AND MOVING NORTHEAST AT 55 MPH.
WIND GUSTS UP TO 55 MPH ARE EXPECTED WITH THESE STORMS….ALONG WITH HEAVY RAIN AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING. THIS STORM MAY INTENSIFY…SO BE CERTAIN TO MONITOR LOCAL RADIO AND TV STATIONS…AS WELL AS LOCAL CABLE TV OUTLETS…FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE.
