Hwy 101 North is Closed /Snow on 299

UPDATE 9:06 A.M.: According to CHP, Hwy 101 is now open to one way controlled traffic. 

UPDATE: 8:22: And snow is starting to stick on 299.

CHP is reporting a mass of down trees and power lines has closed Hwy 101 near Requa Rd on the Klamath River since a little after 4 A.M. this morning. Motorists need to find an alternate route.  Take 299 east and across to Redding if you are in Humboldt.
