Snow in the Hills

Willits has a dust of snow on 101

“We’re out plowing,” says Marty Messenger of Humboldt County Transportation.  Messenger takes care of hundreds of miles of Southern Humboldt roads. He says that there is snow on Shelter Cove Rd., the Ettersburg/Wilder Ridge Rd., the Bell Springs and Spruce Grove Rd, and Alderpoint Road.

Salmon Creek has snow in the upper reaches as do many of the hills in the southern part of the county. Caltrans Traffic cams show very little snow on 299 at Berry Summitt or in other areas of the county.  There is a dust of snow on the highest areas of 101 through Northern Mendocino.
