UPDATE 6:32 p.m.: The Times-Standard is reporting on Facebook that “Law enforcement scanner traffic has said one person is deceased following the injury accident on southbound U.S. Highway 101 near Fields Landing.”

Eyewitness reports of “horrible accident” near Fields Landing. Hwy 101 is closed with a detour off Exit 699 and back almost immediately onto the highway. Updates as they come in.
