Firearms Targeted in Armed Robbery Near Blue Lake Today

On 11-04-2011, approximately 2:30 p.m. the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office was notified of an armed robbery which just occurred in the 12000 block of West End Road, Blue Lake. The female victim arrived at her boyfriend’s residence and saw an unfamiliar newer model Chevy Sport Utility vehicle in the driveway. The victim looked into the Chevy and saw firearms lying on the front seat. About that time one of the suspects who had been burglarizing
the home exited it, and pointed a shotgun at the victim and ordered her back into the residence.

The two suspects demanded to know where all the firearms and money were in the residence. The victim reluctantly showed the suspects where some firearms were located in the residence and told them no money was in the home. The victim also mentioned that her boyfriend, the homeowner was supposed to be arriving any time to meet her there. The suspects gathered the firearms and fled the scene. As they were leaving the boyfriend drove up and saw the suspects fleeing the residence. He followed the suspects towards the City of Blue Lake, calling 911 while doing so, however lost sight of them a short time later.

Deputies and detectives are still on scene searching the area at this time. No one was injured during the robbery. The Blue Lake Elementary School was advised of the robbery as a precaution.

Suspects are described as:

Suspect #1 Hispanic male adult, 5’ 5” tall, 130-140 pounds, wearing a yellow bandanna across his face, a dark hooded sweatshirt, no accent , estimated to be in the late twenties to early 30’s.

Suspect #2 Hispanic male Adult, 5’ 6”, 130-140 pounds, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, a black bandana, also estimated to be in late 20’s , early 30’s.

Both suspects are considered Armed and Dangerous

Suspect Vehicle described as: Newer Model Dark Blue Chevy Blazer with Chrome Bumper, Spare Tire Rack, Tinted Windows, after market Mag Wheels
