This Is a member of our Family and I would like to ask that anyone who is in this area, please go help look for this man. They can use all the people they can get to search. We still have hope and are not willing to give up. He is out there somewhere please help them find him. I have faith, If I was home I would be out there next to my family every day.

Best wishes to the Quen family for a happy outcome.
Hopefully Mr. Quen didn’t stumble across a grow. Selfish assholes care more about their crop than another human life. Pathetic.

PLEASE PLEASE Look below the road when you walk east from the parting area at Hopkins Camp. I was out there this year and there was a couple of large bucks in there. Maybe he went in after one. It is a short distance back to the main road below, but it is steep. I will email Kym a map. God Bless and God Speed the rescue!
Can you email the map to us, please? Going to join search in the morning.
Anything may help.
Thank you
OMG I am so sorry! Please search from the ridge at Hopkins down to the main road…not into the wilderness…That area all the way until where the burn came to the road. That is where the 2×3 and his big brother the 5×6 has been running. I hope joe saw them and went after the two!!!!!!

Here is a follow up to the article. It has a lot of information about helping in the search. I know they plan on going out again tomorrow. All help is appreciated.

Better get private folk looking for him, as the SO in TC doesn’t enforce laws, let alone search for someone. They might call a neighbor and ask them to search, but that’s about it. The night temps haven’t been too cold this week and there is fresh water in creeks running since the rain.
Best Wishes For A Quick Find Of Your Family Member.

A heartbreaking outcome — condolences to Joe’s family and friends ………………..
Don’t know the whole story yet — all the info I’ve gotten so far has come from the “Help-find-Joe” Facebook page. [Have included the latest posting from over there — at the bottom.] ……….
Also — there was a comment posted saying that an account was being set up for donations — — possibly at Coast Savings in Fortuna — to help Joe’s family with the burden of expenses. I want to donate — so maybe — when the account is set up — you could post a link to it here?? The more widely the donation link is distributed — the better. Joe’s family has been through hell ………………………..

More information is coming in and the body of Joe was not found by Scott Allardice, but by a hunter/searcher in the area. It is speculated that Joe suffered a heart attack or stroke, but we will not know until the autopsy. The efforts made by ALL of the people that helped out through the week will not be forgotten. The Quen family is overwhelmed by the support and outpouring of love from the community. Arrangements are being made and services will be announced later.

Warmest regards to the family, to the folks who helped with the search. Just shows what this community is made of. Glad to hear lucky made it. If there is anything good, its that he went out doing something he loved and not rotting in a cancer ward. My father died of altzheimers and I wish he died with more dignity than he did. God bless us all.
I have closer that they found my dad and he died doing what he loved doing!! Its still hard to believe dad is gone but it will take time to heal. Day doesnt go by that I don’t think of him!! RIP DADDY!!
Michele, I wish I could say something good and right but I don’t have the words. May your memories of him be warm and may your times of tears be short and sweet.
Rich, My grandmother had dementia. I know what you mean it is hard to lose someone you love before their body goes.
