Arrest Made In Weott Home Invasion
Press Release from the Humboldt Co. Sheriff’s Dept. announces an arrest has been made in the case of the Weott home invasion.
On 06-15-2011, approximately 7:00 a.m. Humboldt County Sheriffs Deputies and Detectives were dispatched to a residence on Birch Street in Weott, regarding a home invasion robbery, which just occurred. The victims had a handgun pointed at them by one of the suspects while the other restrained the victims with duct tape and then stole various items, including electronics and a rifle from the victim’s home. On 06-30-2011, approximately 7:00 p.m. an alert citizen called the Humboldt County Sheriffs Office and reported that the suspects may be at a local restaurant on Conger Street, Garberville. The citizen recalled the media release where one of the suspects may have a “LA” Tattoo under his right eye. A Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputy and California Highway Patrol officer responded to the restaurant and located and arrested the suspects. The deputy determined one of the suspects; Sean Serrano is on active California Youth Authority parole out of Los Angeles County.
Arrested for Armed Robbery were Sean Mark Serrano, 22 years from West Covina, California.
