  • I know it’s not the easy or happy thing to think, but what will happen if it’s legal? Do you think the violence will go away? (I went and read the related post first.) I hope to get a lot of positive answers, because I’m not satisfied that legalizing pot will cure humanity’s nasty natures.

  • Your photo is far better than your news.

  • Will people get robbed over legal pot?

    Yes and no.

Liquor stores get robbed frequently. A person might want to rob a liquor store because most liquor store patrons are alcoholic bums who have no/low bank accounts or bank accounts so deep into delinquency that they always pay cash. Secondly, even if the store just dropped a deposit a person can still take that top shelf and not the VSOP I mean that top, top-shelf liquor and go sell that. If a liquor store sold weed, sure it would get robbed.

Home brewersnever get robbed. Home brewers/distillers lack anything a thief would want. They don’t have stacks of cash money. Their product is off-brand and certainly not top-shelf so nobody goes and tries to take a jug of some random moonshine at gunpoint. Just not worth the risk.

Illegal weed growers are like home brewers who all happened to be brewing $1000 a six-pack beer. Legal weed growers would be like your neighbors apple tree, fucked with but nobody getting killed over the fruit.

  • That makes sense. So the stealing won’t stop (booty will be all that more guaranteed) but people might not shoot each other as often? I mean I can just see some lazy good for nothing folks thinking: Joe Bob down the street has his 215 so if we come in at the right time, we can just nab it all without having to do the hard work. And then Joe Bob might get discouraged and go to buying weed instead of growing it, because he’s the non-violent type. And then we slowly merge into a commercialization industry which has its own ramifications. Brinks trucks for dope!

    Ah, well, whatever.

  • Tim was from Lima, Ohio not Sacramento. He moved there barely a year ago looking for work as NW Ohio has been hit hard by the failing economy. He has a 2 year old daughter and had just gotten a job. The woman who “shot” him had zero gun residue on her hands. This is an on going investigation, please do not rush to judge.

His body arrived home to his grieving family today.

    • Suz, Tim was born in California and raised in Ohio, so yes he’s from california. And he has TWO kids.

  • it is very likely that this sort of home invasion crime will escalate with more guns and dead folks.
considering the attempted H.I. in Mckville yesterday, it is a crime trend .
when the bad guys in the city get going on this fad crime it will be a total mess .
what you going to do then?

  • And will it matter that my greenhouse is filled with vegetables? How will anyone know that I have nothing to take? Will it make a difference?

  • FN SLP with tactical light.

Not to defend growing. Fuck that. I would never kill nobody unless they were threatening my life. I would never fire a weapon unless I had to or I was legitimately bored at the time. Anything else is irresponsible ownership.

  • suz you must know a lil somethin. .fill me in. cuz tim was a good guy. and i would NEVER expect him to get mixed up in a HI. he wasnt an angel. but i REALLY think theres more to this story.

    • Tim moved to California, made money and got into the marijuana business.
Timmy was good. Not an angel, but GOOD. So was Tyrone and Chris. They wouldn’t try to randomly invade someone’s home. It’s just not them, they CLEARLY knew the people. A few weeks earlier Tim had some squabble with the dealer. Probably some greedy fucker raising prices or something, but I know those men wouldn’t jut invade a random house.
